It is with great sadness the ASCEPT Executive notify you that Professor Sir Alasdair Breckenridge passed away on 13 December 2019. He had been a member of BPS since 1971 and was elected to Honorary Fellowship in 2002. His contribution to the Society was longstanding, as was his contribution to clinical pharmacology. He was also a major influence on UK regulatory pharmacology.

The BPS will be publishing an obituary shortly but in the meantime they encourage you to watch Sir Alasdair discuss his life and work in an interview with President-Elect, Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed.
