Professional Development for Members – Connecting Expertise with Policy Decisions

The Flinders Centre for Science Education in the 21st Century would like to introduce your Members to a new postgraduate degree being offered from 2017 at Flinders University.  This new field of study is designed for professionals with qualifications and/or experiences in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) disciplines who wish to use their expertise to have a greater impact on the decision-making of governments, industries, communities and individuals. Graduates will be ideally positioned to be agents of change in areas of policy development that directly impact the work of your organisation and Members.

M.Sc. (Science Policy and Communication)  applicants will already hold a STEM degree or equivalent and will develop their ability to translate these existing skills and experience into meaningful change in high-level policy domains.  They will become “agents of change” who will participate in innovation and the shaping of a constantly-evolving society.

Members and friends can get a taste of the style and purpose of the new Science Policy and Communication studies by joining the FaceBook page or visiting the Science Policy and Communication website.
